The senior lacrosse players were celebrated during senior night on April 21 where they played against Glenwood Springs High School. The lacrosse team had a great time getting to celebrate their seniors and all that they bring to the team.
The stands were packed with fans along with family members and friends to support the seniors for their special night. Senior night highlighted the seniors’ commitment and growth throughout their high school lacrosse journey.
Even though the game ended 13-7 with Windsor losing to the Glenwood Springs Demons, all the goals were scored by seniors. Hayden Williamson (12) led the team in points with four goals throughout the game. Liam Charters (12) followed, making two points throughout the game, and Riley Huszar (12) ended it with one point.
Williamson is going to continue his journey in lacrosse at the collegiate level and is committed to Colorado Mesa University. Charters is also continuing to the collegiate level and is committed to Chatham University in Pennsylvania.
The seniors were acknowledged for their hard work, sportsmanship and leadership that they showed throughout their high school lacrosse journey.

“Senior night was amazing, it felt good to be recognized for everything we bring to the team. Having friends and family there added to our morale,” Huszar said. “Despite the loss we still felt very supported and appreciated by the fans and especially our coaches.”
As the seniors move on in their journeys they leave behind a legacy along with advice for underclassmen continuing their lacrosse journey.
“I think senior night is not only a great way to show off what seniors have done for the team but also show the underclassmen what shoes they have to fill,” Ben Britton (12) said.
Along with family and friends supporting the seniors, the coaches were proud to have the spotlight on the seniors and showed their appreciation for them and what they have done for the team.
“Every year we enjoy showing our appreciation for the seniors. The seniors really are outstanding. My favorite part of the night is when they are recognized not just by friends and family but mainly their teammates, it just shows that we are a family,” coach Tayt Gallatin said.
