Torin Schleiger (12), is a second-generation Windsor High School graduate, with both of his parents attending WHS for their high school years. Like his parents before him, Schleiger will leave the school changed for the better.

Schleiger is well-known among WHS students as easy-going, funny and friendly. His soft smile and cool nod greet friends and acquaintances as he walks through the halls every morning.
“I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who doesn’t know Torin Schleiger,” Eliam Boyer (10) said. Boyer has been on the WHS boys soccer team with Schleiger for two years. “Torin was the first upperclassman to really talk to me and make me feel welcome. He’ll come up and talk to you like a friend even if he doesn’t really know you.”
At the culmination of his senior year, Schleiger has participated in a number of extracurricular activities during his time, including unified basketball, boys soccer, Link Leaders, newspaper, boys golf and the pickleball club.
“Torin always gives his 100% effort at soccer, whether it’s cheering us on from the bench or playing on the field … he’s always working hard and in the right place for passes,” Tristyn Bruning (12) said. Bruning and Schleiger have played on the soccer team together since freshman year, and they were both on the newspaper staff this semester.

“I always like staying busy and keeping active. It’s been super fun to participate in the activities that Windsor High School has to offer,” Schleiger said. Schleiger’s athletic lifestyle and ambitious personality have prepared him for his post-high school career aspirations.
After graduation, Schleiger plans to follow in his father’s footsteps and become an EMT and firefighter.
“I really want to be a firefighter because I’ve grown up in the firehouse, you know, seeing my dad work in that field. And I’m really passionate about helping people, and the idea that I could change someone’s life for the better like that is really special to me,” Schleiger said.
Schleiger’s parents are both WHS graduates, with both his mother and father graduating in the class of 2004. He has five siblings and two dogs.
As he embarks on his next chapter in life, Schleiger leaves with lifelong memories behind him and a bright future ahead of him.
